Boreka is a woman led social enterprise using technology to work with
communities to accelerate adoption of nature based solutions for climate
change mitigation and adaptation to improve livelihoods & contribute
towards a liveable planet.
Boreka supports farmers in the development of sustainable carbon sinks focusing
on biodiversity through agroforestry models. We believe that collective action
by communities is key to catalysing climate action for social & environmental impact.
Boreka supports farmers by providing them with tree seedlings,
training them on climate change and silvicultural practices ,
and providing extension services to support tree-growing and
sustainable land use management.
Boreka farmers take care of the trees to ensure
their survival to maturity. Farmers who
partner with Boreka benefit from improved soil
quality, increased crop yields, and reduced soil
erosion.
